Finding a good, engaging, and non-boring course on marketing analytics that is also useful has always been a headache for me.

This time, I got lucky.

"Chrome DevTools For Digital Marketers" is an excellent collection of video lessons on working with the developer console in Google Chrome, with a focus on technical marketing. The course is divided into 9 sections, each thematically grouping several lessons.

Chrome DevTools is an incredibly powerful tool for anyone working with web data. It's like a superpower – where others might spend hours searching for answers, you (with an understanding of the console) can achieve the same results with a few hot keys.

The course goes deeper than common instructions available for working with the console. In the initial lessons, Simo Ahava briefly covers interface elements and shortcuts. And that's it – then the really interesting stuff begins, with no banalities.

The course has a practical approach – almost every section starts with a "How to..." lesson, where a specific task is quickly and deeply explored. For example, "How to manipulate browser storage" or "How to interact with a page using JavaScript". This makes the content very juicy.

Each section concludes with a practical case study from the field of digital marketing in the context of using Chrome DevTools. Examples include how to quickly debug pixel JS snippets, how to catch and investigate errors with dataLayer formation, and how to identify cookies in server responses. You can apply everything immediately after or even during the lesson.

The course is in English with subtitles, making it accessible to a wide audience.

This course is for you if you work with tag management systems and want to boost your skills in tag debugging and quickly gain insights into how data works in the browser.

This course is not for you if you already use Chrome DevTools on a daily basis and are familiar with the tool at an advanced level.

Attention! To successfully learn the course, you need to know the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The content assumes you are already familiar with the DOM tree, basic JS methods, and tag setup in GTM.

Despite the course being titled "Chrome DevTools For Digital Marketers," I think a more fitting name would be "Chrome DevTools for Web Analysts" due to its more technical focus.

Currently, the course costs 199,00€, which I consider very affordable for such valuable content. Highly recommended.
